A lazy day.

Yesterday I stayed in my pjs ALL day! I was stitching on my second Vintage Valentine block. I finished it last night. Besides needleturning with the freezer paper underneath I also glued some of the pieces together before adding them to the background. Another time saver! I started on the next block and got two pieces appliqued before I went to bed. This quilt is turning out very pretty. I'm enjoying working on it despite the tiny pieces.

Edit: I hate our new digital camera. Most of my pictures turn out blurry! I'll try to take this one over and see if I do better...

  1. Allthough it is blurry I can see it will look nice in the end.

  2. Do you have a "macro" button or setting? You are likely too close for the camera at it's current setting. If I turn the macro ON, I can get up to 7" from my object without blurriness.

    It is pretty tho!!

  4. Try lots of the different settings on your camera. I know I have some settings where the flash is delayed and I think are really made for a tripod as pictures on that setting are always blurry. On other settings I do just fine. Experiment - after all, all you need to is delete the bad ones. Digital is so cool!

  5. Lovely! Your second block from Vintage Valentine is beautiful. I am making the same quilt as a wedding gift to my son and his fiancee! I just have to finish the flower petals on this block and then begin #3! I'll look forward to seeing more of your progress
