Kitty Tango is done!
Well, at least the top and backing. I used a machine buttonhole stitch to attach the kitty squares. I hope to get Ty to quilt it for me real quick. I think it turned out so cute. Annie really likes it. Yeah! When the quilt comes back from the quilter I want to put some of that really big rick rack on the seam where I attached the border. Maybe orange or lime green!

Locker Hooking
Blogging is fun but it can get you "in trouble" too! Recently I found a blogger who was locker hooking. ( I have since lost her but if I find her I'll certainly mention her blog here.) Well, it looked so interesting that I had to try it for myself! I went to Hobby Lobby and got some rug canvas (very inexpensive) and a locker hooking needle. I had some string and fabric to cut into 1" strips at home, so I had all the supplies. It is so fun and very relaxing to do!
Edit: I found a tutorial for you to see the process of making a locker hooked rug.

OK, I found her! This is bzyqltr's blog where I first learned about locker hooking.

Curtain Cuteness
Thursday, March 8, 2007
I went along with Brian and Annie to her ultrasound appointment this morning. We saw two sacks...you know what that means don't you? Two babies!! Yikes! We will have to wait until next Thursday to see the heart beats. It is too early to see it on the ultrasound. They look like two grapes. LOL, Annie said they are the Grapes of Wrath, and then she realized she had better get some rest because in 8 months she won't be able to rest for years!! I think we are all in shock! At least I know I am. Happy shock, if that makes any sense. Wow! Two babies!! I've been waiting so long to be a Grandmother and now I've hit the motherload!

WIP Wednesday
Yesterday I finished the machine buttonhole stitching on the first block of Birds Of A Feather. Originally, I had hand appliqued this block but have found I have overloaded myself with applique blocks to finish this year. So, I will hand applique Vintage Valentine and Home Sweet Home and machine applique Birds Of A Feather. I turned the seam allowance under before stitching on the machine. I've almost completed the applique on the second block. Oh, that's my finger pincushion in the upper right corner. My sister gave that to me many years ago for Christmas. It's perfect for the design wall!
