Yesterday I finished the machine buttonhole stitching on the first block of Birds Of A Feather. Originally, I had hand appliqued this block but have found I have overloaded myself with applique blocks to finish this year. So, I will hand applique Vintage Valentine and Home Sweet Home and machine applique Birds Of A Feather. I turned the seam allowance under before stitching on the machine. I've almost completed the applique on the second block. Oh, that's my finger pincushion in the upper right corner. My sister gave that to me many years ago for Christmas. It's perfect for the design wall!

ReplyDeleteThis is a cute block. Looks like you have made lots of good progress on it. There are a bunch of things I want to applique and handquilt. There just aren't enough hours in the day.
