I've been appliqueing and sewing home dec stuff lately. I really felt like piecing something. So, I started a new quilt. I looked through my bundles of fabric and found one that I could use. I picked out 2 Moda Magic Garden bundles (the prints and the plaids) by Blackbird Designs and a Miss Rosie's Quilt Co. pattern called Flies In The Barn. I cut it out on Saturday and started piecing it on Sunday. I went up to my quilt room this morning and pieced the three blocks that are in the body of the quilt. I can't believe how easy this is going to go together. Just some half square triangles and some bars!

ReplyDeleteI'm wanting to get away from piecing for a bit and work on embroidery and hand applique. I've got to stop piecing so many quilt tops and just adding them to the pile. LOL
I like what I see so far. The colors are so warm and welcoming.
