Camping Out In The Bathtub

It's spring in Texas! That means flowers blooming and green grass. Unfortunately it also means rain, lightning, hail and tornados. The sirens sound when we are having bad weather. That means taking shelter in a safe place. How do you get two three year olds to take shelter without scaring them? Camping out in the bathtub!

We took our pillows and favorite quilt to protect us...I mean to camp out. Luckily there were no tornados in our area that night.

Tootie Girl fun!

  1. That is a fun way to keep the kids calm while you get through the storms. When we were kids, we had camping in front of the fireplace when the power went out. That way we cooked and kept warm;)

  2. Fun even in scary times!!! What a good idea. I feel for all of the people who have been hit by bad storms, but I sure wish we could get some rain here in Central Texas - so send it back to us okay!!

  4. We have been having some really rough weather here too of late. One major hail storm like I have never seen before - got a new roof out of that one. Moving into hot summer now with lightening storms, but usually no tornados - that is until hurricane season hits full force.

Cute picture of you and the tootie girls.
