Birds Of A Feather

Wow! Look at this! The top has been finished for a while but I just found this post draft that was never published. So, now, I present...Birds of a Feather!

It's from a book by the same name by Blackbird Designs.

Solitary Birds
American Kestrel

Bird Feeder Surprise
Rose-breasted Grosbeak

The Sky on His Back
Bluebird

This is Clear Melodic Song
Cardinal

Uh, oh. Blurry picture...sorry.
The Weaver
Baltimore Oriole

True Sign of Spring
Martin

Winter Visitor
Junco

Sings Their Heart Out
Mockingbird

Wild Canary
American Goldfinch

Prairie Song
Western Meadowlark

Shock Absorbers Needed
Downy Woodpecker

Border with prarie points and year completed. I have since added my initials to the top border.

I can't seem to find the picture for Our Smallest Bird - Hummingbird. On the big quilt it is the two litte birds on the pears.

It's a beautiful day outside today. The snow has stopped falling from the sky. However, big clumps are plopping to the ground out of the trees. The mailboxes look like they have caps on.

Today I'll be working on packing up my sewing room. Next week we are having the floors and painting done upstairs. I'm not looking forward to the mess!

  1. Oh, oh - I thought I'd lost you. But somehow the address was wrong. Now I'm back on board. These are just such lovely birds. You do incredible work. Good luck on the upstairs floors.

    Of course, you aren't there.
Perhaps that helps solve the problem.

  7. Wonderful ! I buy this book last year but not started the quilt. I LOVE your colour choice. Is it totally scrappy or do you use a particular line of fabrics, please ?
