WIP Wednesday

I just finished the applique on Vintage Valentine block #6! I had been taking a break from appliqueing since I burnt out last month. Now I have to get to work on Home Sweet Home.

This is Vintage Valentine block #4. I did this one earlier last week. So, I have done seven total out of twelve! I guess practice makes perfect because it doesn't take more than a few days to get a block done.

This is the picture I promised from my last post. It's the locker hooked rug I started a few weeks back. Everytime I go into the bathroom I almost fall over trying not to step on it! Last night I started a new rug to go in one of the bedrooms that is pink and green. I think I'll add a little tan to that one too. Locker hooking is so fun to do...it's mindless and can be done while visiting or watching TV. I used up quite a few scraps making this rug!

  2. Gorgeous blocks. I love to hand appliqué, but I can't seem to make myself work on a project through completion.

  6. I love the rug and the shower curtain. A genuine inspiration - I am already looking at my stash for fabric to use to make a shower curtain. I really like that idea a lot! Thanks for sharing that one. Now I am going to go hit Google and find out what a locker rug is.....
