Four Patches Forever

Another Lori Smith pattern. This one is from a 2008 BOM from Homestead Hearth. It's just a top for now.

I took this picture in the upstairs hallway. I laid the quilt top on a child's size oak roll top desk. I gave this little desk to my husband for Christmas one year. He had a similar one when he was young.

The black crayola tin was my grandmothers. She was a school teacher. Inside are some newspaper clippings and a little book where she wrote down all the things she had in her house and how much they cost! For example, in 1950 a sofa cost $125.00! In 1952 a table and six chairs cost $160.00 and in 1940 a Singer sewing machine was $80.00!

Hanging above the desk is a little stitchery I did a couple of years ago.
