Some answers for Kathie.

Thanks for your comment! I actually have stepped on my rug (by accident, LOL!) and it is very soft. I didn't use a pattern for my shower curtain. I just sewed two lengths together and hemmed them. This was a shower curtain in my house in Florida many years ago. When we moved to Texas I decided I wanted to add the bluebonnets. So, I just cut across the shower curtain where I wanted to insert the pieced and quilted panel. Then I serged the top and bottom of the panel to the curtain pieces. Next I re-hemmed all the edges and hung it up on clip rings. Voila! A quilted shower curtain!

Kathie, you didn't have a reply address. I think you can change that by going into your settings. I'd love to come to your blog and visit. Greenmare and Suzanne thanks for your comments too! I really enjoy getting feedback from visitors.

WIP Wednesday

I just finished the applique on Vintage Valentine block #6! I had been taking a break from appliqueing since I burnt out last month. Now I have to get to work on Home Sweet Home.

This is Vintage Valentine block #4. I did this one earlier last week. So, I have done seven total out of twelve! I guess practice makes perfect because it doesn't take more than a few days to get a block done.

This is the picture I promised from my last post. It's the locker hooked rug I started a few weeks back. Everytime I go into the bathroom I almost fall over trying not to step on it! Last night I started a new rug to go in one of the bedrooms that is pink and green. I think I'll add a little tan to that one too. Locker hooking is so fun to do...it's mindless and can be done while visiting or watching TV. I used up quite a few scraps making this rug!

Two's A Crowd!

Yesterday I went with Joanna and Brian to their doctor's appointment. Annie had an ultrasound and we got pictures! The babies were moving a lot and we saw their little arms and legs, their big heads and little bodies! How exciting! Annie says the babies are the size of kiwis and they are inside sacks as big as small grapefruits. I had to laugh because she doesn't have enough room in there for all that! The doctor said she was around 11 weeks and one baby is 3 days bigger than the other!

There...that's better.

I didn't like the border I put on Kitty Tango (see post below). I had already given it to Ty to quilt and it kept bothering me so a couple of days passed and I called her to see if she had already started. Luckily, she still had another quilt on the machine! We met in the parking lot of Walmart so I could get the quilt back. I went out on a search for a better border fabric and found this black and white kitty paw print. Now I think it looks great!

The other quilt is a Chinese Coin that is about 45" square. It is a stash quilt. I had the stripe used on the quilt back and a light and dark companion fabric in one of my drawers. I wouldn't have picked this unless I wanted to use something I already had. I really didn't like it much but now I think it is perfect for this little quilt.

Even though I haven't posted in a couple of weeks I have been busy. I finished the locker hooked rug. I'll get a picture of that to show you. I put it in the bathroom with the Bluebonnet shower curtain. It looks really nice. Now I am itching to start another one!
