We are going for a ride!

On Monday we went for a walk! Our trip was around the block at Nana's house. Sarah did great and fell asleep shortly after we hit the sidewalk. Emily had just had a bottle before we left and obviously wasn't through eating. So she was a little fussy. Mommy, Mon and Nana went with us. After we got home we took a long nap, going for a walk was fun and we'll do it again soon!

No Time To Sew

As you can see I've been preoccupied! I really don't have any time to sew! (I have been sneaking in a little sewing time but not very much!) Just wanted to show you why you haven't been hearing from me...

Babies At Home

Both of our babies are home now. Sarah had to spend an extra night at the hospital to ensure she was feeding properly. They have a doctor's appointment to be weighed this morning so I'll update when I find out the news.

Here they are! Laying in their new bed at Nana's house! Of course it's pink! Mommy had a doctor appointment yesterday and they stayed at my house for several hours. I had such fun feeding them, changing their clothes and diapers and cuddling both of them! They are so precious.

I do have some quilting news to share. I am fiddling with my Home Sweet Home blocks trying to sew them all together. I had to move a couple of leaves and such so they would fit when I trimmed the blocks. I also got the backings and fat quarters to finish Emily and Sarah's quilt tops. I should have pictures in the next day or so.

I want to thank you all for your sweet comments on my last several posts. I appreciate them all!

Sweetie Pies

Oh my goodness! These are the cutest babies on earth!

Sarah Grace was born first, October 11, 2007 at 6:12 PM. She weighed 4lbs. 13oz. and was 16 inches long with a full head of dark brown hair. Emily Arden came right after her at 6:13 weighing 6lbs. 2oz! She was 17 1/4 inches long and has light brown hair. Sarah looks just like her Daddy and Emily looks just like her Mommy.

Their Mommy will be leaving the hospital today but our darling babies will be staying until they can eat more than they are eating now. We don't expect it to be too many days. They are completely healthy otherwise. We are so lucky to have two perfect preemie babies!

I can not tell you how much I love them already! Just like you all said, my world has changed!

Much more later...

No babies yet...

We're still waiting. Annie has been in the hospital on bed rest for 10 days! Tomorrow she will have another ultrasound to look at the babies' fluid. Last week one baby only had adequate fluid, so this week if it is any worse they will deliver the babies. If everything is still OK in there they will wait until Monday to do an amniocentesis to check on the development of the babies lungs. If they are developed enough to deliver they will take them on Monday. So, basically we are still waiting!

I've started the babies' quilts! I have the middle block done for each one. I'm using some of the Sanctuary line by Moda. I appliqued their names while sitting at the hospital with Annie.

This is the last Home Sweet Home block I have finished. I have another one almost done and one about half way done. The next thing to do is the border applique and piece it all together.

This is a little stitchery I made for the retreat a couple of weeks ago. I couldn't find a frame to put it in so it will have to wait for next year.

This is a quilt Annie started a couple of years ago. She told me it was too hard and wanted me to finish it. So, I finished it! All I had to do was put the blocks together. This quilt is for someone special. I'll tell you who it is after we give it to her.

Edited to add: We gave this quilt to my Mom when she came to help with the babies. She loved it!

The next picture is a Christmas quilt called Ric-Rac Christmas Trees. I added a special touch to the binding.
