Decorating for Easter!

A little bunny box on the table by the front door.
I found this cute basket at TJ Max.

Look at that face!

The sideboard in the dining room all dressed up.

These are very old baskets. They belong to my sister and me. We have had them since we were little girls. I'm not sure how I ended up with both of them but when my sister finishes her house I am going to give one of them to her. She is still working on the damage caused by Katrina. It's a 'low country cottage' that was built in the 1950s and she is fixing it up so cute.
The table runner is made from Posy Poetry fabric. I think the colors are perfect for Easter.

This is my grandmother's silver plate tea and coffee service. I sort of like that 'patina' that tarnishing gives a piece. Oh, who am I kidding? I don't like polishing silver!

I tried to adjust the brightness on this picture so you could see the window treatments. This is the "breakfast area".

Recently, I added the iron scroll over my mirror. I like it!
Alright, that's it for today. I have a couple of new projects to show you next time!

OK, where has March gone? I've been so busy working on this and that! First, I want to show you the shovel block of Primitive Garden. I picked it up one day and discovered I love wool applique. Back in January I told you how much I disliked it but now I've changed my mind!

I have finally succeeded in getting my curtains made for the kitchen and breakfast area of the great room. It only took nine years! This picture is the valance over the sink. I'm repainting the walls in here back to a tan and the curtains will show up much better on that color. The white spots are from drilling into the wall before we got it right and there is one knob missing. I have to go back to Hobby Lobby and get one.

The Tootie Babies...this is one of the things we do at Nana's house. Sitting in the trays that hold our toys. I think our booties are getting too big for the smaller tray but it's fun to squeeze into anyway!

I've got some more things to show you tomorrow.

Color Generator

Have you seen this site?

Upload a photo and get a color swatch for that image. I'm thinking this would be a great way to plan a quilt!

From The Scrap Bin

In my never ending pursuit of decorating on a shoe string, a free project always sounds good to me! I dug deep into the scrap strip bin and came up with this...

I've had this little old chair for years. I picked it up at a garage sale for $5.00! For almost nine years I've had it sitting on the landing in the stairwell. It had moss and a fake plant in the seat. That went well with my garden theme but it is time to change some things up!
I used some rug canvas and locker hooked the seat. Then I tied it on with strips of fabric. I think it turned out cute!
